We’re thrilled to share the journey of one of our standout Team Zen-bers, Orlaith, whose path from Recruitment and Administration to Charity Client Account Manager encapsulates our ethos.
Orlaith's progressive path
Orlaith joined Zen Fundraising in 2021 as a Recruitment and Administration Administrator, a role that laid the groundwork for her profound understanding of our operations. Her knack for organisation and passion for making a real impact quickly became apparent. By 2023, her talents and hard work led to a well-deserved promotion to Junior Account Manager, and today, she excels as our Client Account Manager.
Orlaith is the bridge between Zen and our charity partners. We'd describe Orlaith as a beacon of dedication and passion. She consistently showcases high-quality account management and a wonderful ability to build and sustain long-lasting client relationships. Her approach to her work is deeply rooted in a commitment to ethical practices and a personal passion for the non-profit sector, which shows up in every interaction.
Accepting the challenge
This year, Orlaith has notably dived into our new data-driven software, InSite, mastering it to enhance our work's efficiency and effectiveness. Her eagerness to adapt and excel in new technological tools underscores her forward-thinking mindset.
Her work on InSite has already seen some fantastic results through demographic-driven targeting. Our fundraisers are well-equipped with the best areas in a particular location for high-quality, long-term donors.
Embracing the Zen-efits
Orlaith’s journey highlights how we support our team beyond the conventional work scope. Through what we affectionately call 'Zenefits', Orlaith has engaged deeply with our benefits program, including access to tools that enhance personal and professional life. Orlaith has particularly made the most of our partnership with Gympass, an inclusive wellness platform. She actively participates in online and in-person classes available in her area, tapping into various fitness and wellness resources. Moreover, she has utilised the therapy services offered through Gympass, appreciating the flexible access to mental health support.
Orlaith's proactive approach to using these benefits underscores her commitment to personal growth and well-being, mirroring the ethos we cultivate at Zen Fundraising.
Sky is the limit
Not one to rest on her laurels, Orlaith has literally taken her commitment to great heights. In 2023, she completed a charity skydive for Young Lives vs. Cancer, demonstrating her dedication to supporting important causes. Her passion (and adrenaline!) will see her skydiving once again, as she's already planning her next jump.
In May, Orlaith participated in the 300-mile walk for SOS Children's Villages, further showcasing her commitment to the charity sector and the communities we aim to support.
Life with Nelly
Away from the adrenaline of skydives and the strategic manoeuvres of account management, Orlaith finds joy and relaxation with her beloved dog, Nelly. She is also a breathwork practitioner and offers online sessions with our hybrid and remote workers at Team Zen.

Reflecting on her time with Zen, Orlaith shares, "I feel blessed going into my fourth year with Zen Fundraising. I love my role and have grown so much these last few years.
